The calm exercises of Falun Dafa celebrated across the world on Falun Dafa Day And famous mothers of Chinese history. 1 May, the 13th was global Falun Dafa Day. Practitioners of the Chinese spiritual practice celebrated the occasion with activities across the world, including in New York. We went there to find out what it's all about. 2 Last Sunday was Mother's Day. In praise of mothers and their influence in society, the 19th Century American poet, William Wallace once wrote, "The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world." In this episode, we bring you the story of two famous mothers from ancient China: Yue Mu, the mother of the great General Yue Fei from the Southern Song Dynasty and the mother of philosopher Mencius, who lived three centuries B.C. Outro Well, thank you everyone for watching our weekly show. Today we have to regretfully inform you that this will be our last episode of Discovering China in its current format. We have done this show for nearly a year. Now we will be taking a break for a while, and hopefully we'll be back next year with a more in-depth documentary style show focusing on traditional Chinese culture.
